Dedicated to Barbara Hales, affectionately known as the Book Lady. The recommendations on this website are primarily hers, with a few additions by her daughter, Tracine Hales Parkinson. We hope you find this site helpful in choosing good children's literature.
Over the next few weeks and months we will be adding links to sites where the recommended books can be purchased if desired. We do not endorse any particular bookseller and encourage you to shop around. At completion, we hope to have links to several different booksellers for each book.
Realizing that all individuals, including children, have varying interests and tastes, we assume no financial responsibility if you purchase a recommended book and are dissatisfied.
